After losing to Dynamic in the upper bracket semi-finals EG had to overcome the very same team to get into the grand final. Once there the team featuring stars like n0thing and fRoD was able to beat Turmoil in two straight maps to win the WCG qualifier. EG will now represent the United States of America in China for the grand finals.

In the first map Turmoil took a commanding lead 11-4 in the first half only to lose 3-12 in the second. Then in the next map it was EG who went up by a lot storming to a 12-3 lead before Turmoil tried to fight back and pushed the game to a narrow 16-13 victory for EG.

Turmoil had looked strong following their victory over coL and then smashing Dynamic. EG, who are playing with tuBBy as a stand-in for the Finn lurppis, have shown resiliency to get through close games and win the spot. This also marks the first time fRoD, Storm and warden have been able to win the WCG spot for the US despite their long time at the top of North American CS. n0thing has also never been able to qualify and will experience his first WCG grand finals along with his team-mates.
