Everything seemed to be going as expected at the WCG USA qualifier with compLexity playing Turmoil in one bracket and EG playing dynamic in the other, the winner to meet in the upper bracket final. The thing is following two 14-16 losses both compLexity and EG, the clear favourites for the event, will be playing in the lower bracket finals instead to see who is eliminated from the event in 4th place and whose hopes remain alive.

In compLexity's game they were up convincingly following an 11-4 first half only to lose their CT half 3-12 and the game. Meanwhile EG.usa, who have admittedly being playing without their Finnish strat caller, lost to the massive underdogs Dynamic from almost the opposite scenario. After being 4-11 down after the first half EG.usa fought back to win 10 rounds in the second, but of course this was just too little.

If Turmoil can beat Dyanmic they'll put themselves in a very good position to start staking their claim as the USA's #1 team again, something they've managed to lose in the last few months. Meanwhile coL and EG.usa face a dogfight to even continue in the tournament, nevermind represent the US in China as both teams so desparately wish to. For EG these players have never won a WCG qualifier while coL will see a dwindling number of big LANs ahead of themselves if they can't get the qualification spot for China.

For Dynamic there is still a little distance to go if they want to be remembered as the real deal as opposed to just a flash in the pan who spoiled the favourites' tournament.
