ImageLegendary movie archive website own-age.com may be closing its doors in October its owner and founder has announced.

The highly important movie making community cornerstone own-age.com may be going offline in early October. Sean "own-age" Kuehnel, owner and founder, made the announcement and explained:

"It saddens me to write this post. But after almost 9 years of keeping this website up I am finally not going to support it anymore. The site is scheduled to go offline on 08-Oct-09. The past couple years I've been keeping the site up but being an extremely passive supporter of the site just making sure it is up and the server bills get paid for.

To all the people who helped and supported over the years, I can't thank you enough. I will miss you guys and the community that supported the site.

You can catch me on Facebook at:
http://www.facebook.com/Skuehnel"

There is still hope though as this update says:

"***Edit: Talking to some people.. may keep the site up in a different form or so.. will let you know if more comes about from these discussions.***"

For those of us who are gaming movie heads own-age.com is our home, our temple and our mecca. If you want to check out the new movies that's where you head. If you want to find an old movie that's where you go. If you release a movie that's where you go. If you want to learn how to make a movie that's where you go. If it is truly the end it will be a dark day for the gaming movies community as it loses its chief central point.
