Hwaseung Oz's Jaedong, perhaps the best StarCraft player in the world, is scheduled to receive Lasik eye surgery to correct his deteriorated vision.FOMOS is reporting that the famous StarCraft player Lee Jae Dong, who goes by the alias Jaedong, is set to receive Lasik eye surgery due to his eye sight weakening over a period of two years. Apparently this led to difficulties practicing or participating in big matches. The man known by the nickname "The Tyrant" is currently ranked #1 by KeSPA and last year received their 'player of the year' award. With a 68% career winning percentage he is also one of only a small handful to have won the legendary and elusive 'Golden Mouse' award for winning three OSL titles.

My eyesight started deteriorating when I was 14, and I'd been an avid gamer since I was 8 or 9 years old.
You seriously need to stop listening to your parents saying that watching TV too much or playing games too much is unhealthy for your eyes. There is no scientific proof to back it up, and they are just saying that because they think it damages your social life and overall health. It has nothing to do with deteriorating vision.

Aren't you supposed to wait a while before you get LASIK, to make sure your eyesight is stable before you jump in front of the laser? Plus, why doesn't he just get some fucking glasses if he can afford LASIK?
Jaedong is a complete idiot for not at least getting contacts when he realized his eyesight was deteriorating. Instead he struggled for two years and then now that it has become unbearable, he chooses LASIK. Unless his eyes are stable, and not still slowly deteriorating, it will probably cause problems in the future after his LASIK operation.
