GeT_RiGhT: "I want to see [mTw.dk] cry"

ImageThe esports award CS player of the year, GeT_RiGhT, has been interviewed over at cadred. The fnatic star discusses his road to the top and his thoughts on CS:Source amongst other things.

fnatic's Christopher 'GeT_RiGhT' Alesund has been interviewed by Cadred, formerly known as a CS:Source site. Known for his incredible aim GeT_RiGhT discusses a number of topics in this interview, beginning with a breakdown of his career thusfar and road to the top of the competitive game.

Asked about the degree of luck and hard work involved in his CS rise the talented Swede says:

"It could be a bit of both. I haven´t really become a successful player directly. I have worked my way up TWICE, got kicked, replaced, joined, and got replaced again. But I think my passion for the game is stronger then most of the players out there. What I mean is I don´t do like the most of the top players do right now. They have played like crazy people up till the top and slowly stop playing like they did before. I still play that gather, that ClanBase ladder game, those mixes, just like I did before. I still got the will and hunger to play this game like I always have."

Most interestingly GeT_RiGhT discusses his thoughts on mTw.dk and his desire to beat them above all other teams:

"I think I want to beat mTw so much that I want to see them cry haha. I think it's because I like how they play their games and I think they are really good team. I couldn't really say that mousesports, SK andex-WICKED are bad. They truly aren't. If I would say they are bad I would be lying to everyone about it. But I think I fear mTw more and got a huge respect for them too. I think they got a more powerful team-play that no other team has besides us. They are really fast to retake a bomb-site or the ramp-room on de_nuke and that kind of stuff."

Despite becoming a heavy fan favourite amongst forum posters back in 2006 thanks to his POV demos GeT_RiGhT's competitive career was always blighted by certain misfortunes which held him back. That his time in NiP marked the worst period in that clan's history was one hurdle he had to overcome, another was his ill-fated trial in SK-gaming which saw him shuffled back out of the rotation. Now with fnatic it seems as though the stars have aligned and GeT_RiGhT has made the most of his second chance and now looks to impose himself upon competitive CS history with more titles than the three majors (EM III Global, ESWC Cheonan, Kode5) he has won this year alone.
