ImageAmong the eight invites for the Extreme Masters American Continental championship in Quake Live is SK's Rapha. Joining him is DaHang, dkt, Chance, griffin, carnage, LoSt-CaUzE and plague.

As part of the qualification process for the American Continental Championship of the Extreme Masters in Quake Live there are eight players who receive invites. These eight are then joined by eight more players from four 32 player tournaments. The most notable name on the list in Quake Live right now is SK star Shane 'rapha' Hendrixson, champion of Quakecon and Gamescom.

List of invites
Shane 'rapha' Hendrixson
Tim 'DaHanG' Fogarty
Brian 'dkt' Flander
Thomas 'griffin' Wall
Chance 'Chance' Lacina
Rafik 'LoSt-CaUzE' Bryant
'plague'
Daniel 'Carnage' Sturdivant

DaHang emerged during the Quake 4 era as one of the top American players and is liked for his interesting style of playing certain maps, something which has continued into QL. He also finished 4th at Quakecon. dkt, a.k.a. destrukt, is a competitive gaming legend, and ironically likes to be called 'the legend'. This American has been competing at the top of a number of games for a decade now. In 2000 he won the WCGC for UT 1v1 and most recently he placed 5th-6th at Quakecon in QL. In Counter-Strike he played in an incredibly close game against NiP at CPL Winter 2001 which his team, RDW, narrowly lost. Then at CPL Summer 2003 he placed 7th with the same team.

LoSt-CaUzE has been around the North American community for a long time as a multi-gamer, playing Quake 3 with DarkSide and Counter-Strike with TAU. When the WSVG began running Quake 4 tournaments he left home and practiced around the country to become one of the best, something he proved with a second at a WSVG event and then a victory over Fatal1ty in South Africa. He, along with plague, finished 13th-16th at Quakecon. Chance and carnage are two players who have been around for the last half a decade and been known as fringe players, possibly capable of upsetting on a map or two but rarely if ever getting deep to the bigger placings.
