ESL have released details of the prize purse for its Extreme Masters 4 American Championship. The total is $72,800 spread across three games, namely CS, WoW and Quake Live.

ESL have released details of the prize purse for its Extreme Masters 4 American Championship. The total is $72,800 spread across three games, namely CS, WoW and Quake Live.The Extreme Masters 4 American Championship will see players competing in World of Warcraft, Counter-Strike and Quake Live. After releasing the structure of the tournament ESL have now put the prize purse and breakdown on their site. A total of $72,800 will be split up with $41,200 going to CS, $21,000 to WoW and $10,600 to QL. Also interesting is that teams and players will be paid purely for turning up for the finals, should they qualify.

Prize Pot - Counter-Strike 1.6: $41,200
American Championship: $11,200 divided into:
Win Bonus: $300 per match
Finals Bonus: $500 for attending Finals
American Championship Finals: $30.000
Prize Pot - World of Warcraft: $21,000
American Championship: $6,000 divided into:
Win Bonus: $150 per match
Finals Bonus: $300 for attending Finals
American Championship Finals: $15,000
Prize Pot - Quake Live: $10,600
American Championship: $2,600 divided into:
Win Bonus: $75 per match
Finals Bonus: $100 for attending Finals
American Championship Finals: $8,000
At the American Continental finals for Counter-Strike last year mibr were able to triumph over a field of the USA's top teams. While EG.usa collapsed without n0thing, who was excluded from the lineup by their in-game leader steno, x3o (now known as coL) emerged to stake their claim as the #1 team in North America by placing 2nd behind the Brazilians.
