deus: "I felt we should have won"

Imagefnatic's Scottish QuakeLive player David Alexander "deus" Kinnaird has been interviewed on their homepage. He discusses the recent Quakecon where he played CTF for the organization.

David Alexander Kinnaird, a.k.a. deus, has been interviewed by his team, fnatic, on their homepage. In the interview deus discusses his team's recent 3rd place at Quakecon, saying "I felt we should have won", as well as a number of different aspects of his life as a gamer.

Commenting on each of his team-mates in the CTF team he says:

"* link1n - young outgoing guy - good fun to be around except when we are losing!

* Spartie - Likes a good party - I'm sure a lot of you will have seen the pictures. Known as Spartie-party. Really nice guy.

* Stermy - the pretty boy of gaming! Cares more about his hair than his gaming! Good fun to be around."

deus is known for his time in UK teams 4kings and ironfist. With ironfist he won the EuroCup IX Quake 3 TDM competition as his team upset the legendary iCE cLIMBERS, home of fox and toxic. He also has an illustrious CTF career, highlighted by a 2nd with Gunzoids in EuroCup XI. To see some of his play one can view his well liked frag movie entitled 'fisted by dEUS'.

fnatic's CTF team finished 3rd in the tournament at Quakecon after losing 2 maps to 0 to the eventual champions Evil Geniuses. This led to some mild outrage at Quakecon's decision to use the single elimination format as many felt fnatic would have finished 2nd had there been a lower bracket. In their game against EG the team, composed mainly of famous Quake duellers from different European countries, managed to take the champions to overtime twice in a hotly contested affair. The team also featured perhaps the world's best CTF attacker right now in France's link1n.
