Due to the increasing tensions between Blizzard Entertainment and KeSPA, revolving around Blizzard's sponsorship of GOM, the majority of the Korean teams have withdrawn from Blizzard's supported program.During this last August, debate rose between Blizzard Entertainment and the massive eSports organization KeSPA and its broadcasting affiliates, MBC and OGN, due to media conflicts. In order to circumnavigate around this irritating obstacle, Blizzard began sponsoring GOM for estensive coverage of StarCraft II, StarCraft: Brood War, Warcraft III and World of Warcraft.
The catch, however, is that Blizzard is going so far to sever its ties with KeSPA that the company forbids all teams affiliated with KeSPA from participating on GOM. With KeSPA representing the entire Korean pro-gaming scene, this would require the elimination of player contracts and by definition, the elimination of the player's pro-gamer status altogether. The first demonstrated action with this newer policy was seen at BlizzCon, only a few weeks ago, when the KeSPA-affiliated player, JulyZerg, was restricted from the convention.
In response to these latest events, the very well-known StarCraft commentator Daniel "SuperDanielMan" Lee, has stated in two separate Twitter posts:
With KeSPA representing the Korean eSports program and Blizzard opposing everything affiliated, this new rift could have severe ramifications against both Blizzard's Korean fanbase and Korean eSports altogether.

"As of now I can safely say there won't be any more GOMTV leagues with Progamers in it.
Well, to make the long story short, under kespa there are twelve teams and most of them decided not to participate."

Hopefully this is the beginning of the end for KeSPA, they have tried to ruin E-Sports in the last years in Korea with their inane decisions.
kespa are nothing more than power-hungry assholes who don't give a shit about the players.
They nearly ruined Jaedong in the transfer window this year, and this guy is the #1 SC player at the moment.
I hope kespa dies a quick, but brutal death.
Without KeSPA SC would never have gotten to where it is today. Korean eSports has KeSPA to thank for their effort and the amount of money they have invested.
no more tasteless and SuperDanielMan Q_Q ?
really bad news ;(
Korea will keep on playing BW till the end of time if they refuse to give in.
Either way, they need to be careful due to the proven fact its harder to regain fans than it is to push them away.
KeSPA: We want this game. Please, give us the rights to make money from it.
Blizzard: You wish.
wouldn't the game die slowly?
just asking.
