The finals for GameGune Mexico are set and will see WeMadeFox coming from the lower bracket to face EG.usa. WeMadeFox beat Turmoil 2 maps to 0 to narrow the field to two.WeMade FOX have beaten Turmoil to emerge as the last team standing from the lower bracket. After a reasonably close game on the first map, inferno, the Korean team stepped it up and put Turmoil away convincingly on the second, nuke. This now sets up a final which will have a lot of eyes on it as WeMadeFox returns to face Evil Geniuses , who put a real hurting on them in the upper bracket finals. A miss is as good as a mile, or so they say, and usually one needn't pay undue attention to rounds won by the losing team as there are so many factors which can influence every individual round. That said the upper bracket loss to EG had to have been painful for WeMadeFox if not downright humiliating. With players capable of incredible individual performances like Kun-chul 'solo' Kang and Min-Soo 'glow' Kim the Korean team will need to pull everything together to overcome EG's bracket and psychological advantage.
First map (inferno)
WeMade FOX 16:12 Turmoil
Second map (nuke)
WeMade FOX 16:7 Turmoil
The final will take place at midnight CET. The winner will get €12,000 while the runnerup is forced to settle for €6,000. Turmoil placed 3rd for their efforts and will receive €3,000 in prize money, though one must imagine they'll be playing over the rounds which could have gone their way in the EG semi-final for some time to come.
