wNv.cn (short for wisdom Nerve victory) have announced a roster change which sees
Nan 'prom1se' Wang and Hui 'KangTa' Chen leaving the Chinese side. In their place comes BiaoHong 'Rita' Huang and Yi 'ZY' Zhou. The new look team will compete at the Global Challenge Chengdu at the beginning of October, hoping to outshine their countrymen in TyLoo and upset some of the bigger names like fnatic and Mouz.

BiaoHong "Rita" Huang has been playing for China's best teams for some time. He was a member of notable teams such as wNv.cn's sister team wNv.gm, TyLoo and TR.victory. With TR.victory he attended ESWC 2007 where his team upset Mouz 21-9 on dust2 and then tied eventual champions PGS on the same map in the second group stage.

Yi "zy" Zhou is most famous for his time in X7-Hacker/Hacker.gm as one of their key components with his deadly AWPing. His most impressive placing to date would be the 5th Hacker.gm was able to take at CPL Winter in 2006. This result saw the Chinese team beat well known American teams zEx and Turmoil (the original core of Gravitas) in the first group stage. Then in single elimination best-of-3 play zy and his comrades overcame Team3D before falling to France's aAa. Due to an unorthodox tournament structure they then played a 5th-8th consolation group to decide the placings and here they continued to impress as they beat solo's project_kr and the Finnish 69N-28E.

With Hacker zy also beat fnatic in September of 2006 in a shocking upset win at a WSVG China. Almost a year later at eStars he and his team took fnatic to overtime on dust2 before finally breaking under fnatic's pressure.

wNv.cn's best recent placing was their win at the EM III Continental Asia finals in January of 2009 where they beat WeMade Fox a resounding 2 maps to 0 in the finals (16-5 on inferno, 16-6 on dust2) to win $25,000 and a spot in the global finals. Since then the team have struggled to retain their form losing to TyLoo in the finals of IEF 2009 and WCG China.

While wNv.cn may not be well known due to sharing an organization with the more famous wNv.gm team, who themselves are many years removed from a major placing, the team has shown itself to contain underappreciated talent. For example rifleman Bin "Savage" Liu has stood out as a player with explosive ability and precision aim under pressure.

Known for their proficiency on dust2, seemingly a speciality for Chinese teams, and with new players with experience of scoring big upsets this wNv.cn will be a dark horse to take a good placing. Also, with rivals TyLoo in attendance at the GCC this incarnation of wNv.cn will have a lot to prove both domestically and internationally.
