WCG Finland winners Crack Clan officially recruit Max "ruuit" Aspe and Samu "plastE" Aalto from their rivals astralis. Clan leader natu gives SK-gaming a statement.Crack Clan, who surprised many by winning the recent Finnish WCG qualifier, have decided to upgrade their collective talent by recruiting Max Oskari 'ruuit' Aspe and Samu 'plastE' Aalto from the team they defeated at said qualifier, astralis. To make way for the new players the team has released Miikka 'dRiim' Toroi and Matti 'SPIKEONE' Järvinen.
Clan leader Joona "natu" Leppenan gave this statement regarding the move:
ruuit has long being considered Finland's premier individual player, ever since his arrival at Hoorai in 2006 sparked that team on towards multiple top 3 placings. When Hoorai became 69N-28E they picked up natu and were able to win the NGL-ONE 2006/2007 finals and WSVG Louisville. Then in August of 2007 after a disappointing ESWC and GameGune natu was released and plastE was brought in. Rebranded as Roccat and later GamePlay the team released their team leader, lurppis, in the middle of 2008 and went on to a number of performances which saw them upsetting teams like mTw.dk, SK.swe and Mouz yet never managing to close the deal and win an event.
In 2009 GamePlay became the first CS team for CrackClan but after removing lurppis, again, and naSu they lost their sponsorship when the ESWC champion ex-mYm team became available. Ironically the Poles went with a different offer at the last minute and Crack Clan decided not to pick up the Finns again. Instead a few months later they went with a newly formed Finnish team, rootz, spearheaded by natu, naSu and tihOp who were all members of 69N-28E/Roccat/GamePlay during its time. Despite poor placings at GameGune and the IOL Final Four that team now sits atop the Finnish scene following their WCG qualifier victory over their arch-rivals astralis.
Crack Clan's roster:
Joona 'natu' Leppänen
Niko 'naSu' Kovanen
Tino 'tihOp' Puumala
Max Oskari 'ruuit' Aspe
Samu 'plastE' Aalto
Outgoing
Matti 'SPIKEONE' Järvinen
Miikka 'dRiim' Toroi

Clan leader Joona "natu" Leppenan gave this statement regarding the move:
"After a summer with 3 straight disappointments it was more or less obvious things weren't working as they were. This forced us to analyze what were the reasons behind our previous failures. We feel that the aggressive minded play and previous experience from tournaments that these two new players bring is something that will make us a better team. I would like to thank both Matti and Miikka for all their efforts. Unfortunately it didn't work as we wished and it's time to wish them good luck with what they choose to do."
