It has emerged that Gravitas gaming have released their CS 1.6 team and will be ending the organization as a whole.Gravitas gaming have released their 1.6 team, which featured the following players:
Ediz 'goodfornothing' Basol
Ben 'ben' Hui
Derrick 'impulsive' Truong
Thomas 'thoMz' Garcia
Joe 'perez' Perez
The core of the current Gravitas team joined the organization in October of 2008 from x3o. At the time they were considered strong rivals to EG.usa for best team in North American CS. With Gravitas the team elevated themselves to the best team in North America with a victory at the Kode5 qualifier and as the only North American team to win a game at the Extreme Masters III Global Finals in Hannover.
Complications and bureaucracy saw them miss out on the Kode5 spot to their rival EG. In recent months the team has not retained their grip on the #1 spot with EG winning ESEA's recent LAN playoffs and Gravtias' 2nd at the WCG Quiver Shoot-out event.
Gravitas have also undergone roster changes as they removed Matt “PaTyoJoN” Iantosca, Shaun "Hostile" Catron and Dan "mehLer" along the way. These changes saw Ben "ben" Hui, Joe "perez" Perez and Thomas "thoMz" Garcia brought into the fold. Most recently, at the end of July, Gravitas brought in the services of Paul "Adrenaline" Baker only to remove him a month later.

Regarding the departure Ediz "goodfornothing" Basol told Complexitygaming.com:
"We appreciate what gravitas did for us while we were their cs team and they were always true to their word. It just seems the ownership has come to a point in their lives where they want to move on so I respect their decision. We are gonna keep playing cs as a team though so in that respect nothing has changed."
The organization's management then told HLTV.org:
"GG is dead. We're not losing just the 1.6 team but shutting GG down."
