To kick start a new era of content at SK-gaming Duncan "Thorin" Shields has taken over as Editor-in-Chief, while Lawrence "Malystryx" Phillips steps down from the position to allow him more time for his family. As of today SK-gaming is operating under a new Editor-in-Chief. Lawrence "Malystryx" Phillips, who previously held the position, has decided to step down and work in a part-time role so as to allow him more time to spend with his family. SK-gaming applauds his efforts and looks forward to him remaining the vital and integral part of the team he has been since his arrival.
The new Editor-in-Chief is none other than I, Duncan "Thorin" Shields, and this change is effective immediately. Allow me to introduce myself, dear SK-gaming reader. I hail from the cold North of England and began as a Quake writer many moons ago, at the beginning of this century, before concentrating purely on Counter-Strike. Since that time I have most notably written for the famed Nordic subscription site Gamers.nu, popular North American subscription site ESportsEA.com and most recently the smaller community site WinOut.net.
In my time at Gamers.nu I was one of the first Counter-Strike event journalists and known mainly for my written and audio interviews. I also began developing community features, such as the 'Ask (X)' series (Ask HeatoN, Ask elemeNt, Ask ESEA) as well as writing CS movie reviews (of which I have penned several thousand) I also co-authored two guides to competitive Counter-Strike along with Rambo, steel and fRoD respectively called TAO-CS and TAO-fRoD.
When bds approached me about this position he made it clear that our aim should be to make SK-gaming the #1 Esports coverage site in the world. As challenging as that may be, with the staff currently on board and the resources SK-gaming has at its disposal I think that's not only an achievable goal but to be expected as an outcome.
I've also been known as someone who has been openly critical of the way sites and writers work and have worked in the past, so when offered the opportunity to take the reigns myself I seized upon it. I feel I bring different philosophies and approaches to working to the table and in time it's my intention these can translate to an even better SK-gaming experience for you, the reader.

Hope SK's news posting and coverage go to the level of HLTV.org. (Of course talking about CS coverage only)
Good luck with the site Duncan. May you spark my interest in eSports once again.
As for Maly; this is the punishment for stealing our Internet! Gl mate, hope you'll come back stronger after you finish your first struggling period of your fatherhood :-) It'd be a loss to the scene if you don't.
