IEM Chengdu not only invite-based, qualifiers also
ESL have just announced that they will be holding a qualifier this weekend to determined an additional four players to join the eight invited ones.
The four players from the qualifiers - which will be held this Sunday at 3pm CET - will also be awarded partial travel expenses cover depending on their location.
"The four best players qualify to get travel support ($250 from China, $500 from Asia outside China, $750 from the rest of the world)." The only catch is "that players will have to pay their travel costs themselves and get the expenses covered afterwards." Players have until Thursday to register their interest in participating.
