SC2 Map editor to include First-person mode

ImageStarcraft2's map editor will include the ability for first-person game creation, with a Blizzard employee demonstrating the possibilities.

According to Joystiq the map editor will also allow for UI manipulation and an inventory system, which will add a whole new dimension to custom games for their upcoming title. The map editor for the original Starcraft was revolutionary for its time, as was the Warcraft3 map editor, and one can only expect the same from their latest creation which has been pushed back until 2010.

Production of Blizzard's console title Starcraft: Ghost was halted back in 2006, but one of their employees showcased the possibilities of the new functions using the female ghost protagonist from the cancelled title to create a third-person game. The possibilities could be endless and not only could Defence of the Ancients benefit from the new additions but it also leaves a chance open for a new and fresh custom game to pave the way for itself.
