fnatic faced Mousesports in the semi final, where the German team manager revealed that this was to be their game as they had been waiting to challenge fnatic for a long time. Indeed, an impressive mouz showed up on stage and controlling clutch situations. Fnatic however weren't able to show their best performance after rightfully celebrating their title of "esports team of the year" including Christopher 'GeT_RiGhT' Alesund as "esports player of the year" and feeling slightly out of shape.

On the other side, SK Gaming faced mTw in the semi finals. SK lost the first map to then pick up their momentum on the second map where you were able to see the first real entry of Jim 'zneel' Andersson by winning some clutch situations. Staying strong at the first half of the third map, SK seemed to have a sudden loss of confidence on second half. SK was up 15-09, however, mTw took advantage of the situation, gained confidence, and were able to pull the game to a tie. Two overtimes were played, however, SK weren't able to pick up their momentum again and lost the second overtime.

Onto the final, mTw faced the on-fire mousesports who had not only just recently won Gamegune, but also only a few hours earlier, beaten the esports team of the year.

The Germans confidence reigned on the first map, making it seem almost certain that they would send the Danish home after the second map if they were to keep up their performance. However, mTws extremely strong CT side on de_train, the second map, saved them and gave them an extra chance to win. Unfortunately for mTw, mousesports just proved to be the bigger team and pulled through a tense game on de_dust2, concluding a BO3 worthy of a final.
