Ensidia claimed their second title of the year after beating aAa 4-2 in the first Extreme Masters event of the season.Ensidia was one of the favourite teams going into this week's tournament and they lived up to the expectation by beating against All authority Rat. But Ensidia had to work hard for their win, not only because of the strength of opposition, but also because of a huge break between the 4th and 5th games.
With Ensidia looking good with a 3-1 lead on match point, the 5th game went right down to the wire, literally. A rogue-rogue cross kill led inevitably to the time limit being hit. Instead of counting up the damage or instantly replaying the match, ESL's schedule meant that they had to squeeze in some sponsors and giveaways.
The break seemed to have affected Christopher 'KalimisT' Ioannou as he completely forgot to refresh his poisons in the hour or so it took to get the game underway. That let their opponents back into the game as aAa happily pulled the score back to 3-2. But like true champions, Ensidia simply took the blow and came back fighting. They took the next game to give them the 4th map needed to win in the new best-of-seven format.
For aAa this is another step closer to winning an event after they placed 3rd at last season's global finals. A little more time for Ugo 'Thorkin' Paci could make the difference. But then again, Ensidia also had a relatively new addition at this tournament. A second win in 2009 shows just why they are such a well-supported team and they will be ruing the fact that they won't be at Blizzcon later today.
If you missed any of the games from Cologne, don't worry. You can find all the results right here.

let me explain something to you that you will maybe understand (well probably not but w/e)
hu vs ud fight in wc3
MK runs out of mana and doesn't have enough to it to storm bolt and kill the opposing DK
on the other side DK has 75 mana, coils AM and kills him.
UD proceeds to pick off all the remaining human army that is trying to flee the battle and wins the game.
you see, what was "happening" in the wow tournament was exactly the same, just that there were a lot more spells, but no army.
hope this helps downie
I'm very well aware of the significance of the amount of mana a player or unit has. THAT WAS EXACTLY WHAT I SAID, MORON.
The problem is that watching it was about as exciting as watching an Orc mirror with the units having 10 times the hp, everybody saves their units, the players back off, heal and meet again, just to keep on not losing anything. Over and over again.
I hope you get the point, otherwise get an education and/or off my back, stalker_v.
sry, but this does not imply that you know what the fuck was going on :D
If you knew what was going on you would know why one team won and the other lost, sadly you don't know shit
and no i'm not going to back off
i'm going to flame the shit out of every stupid ass comment you make here
oh btw make more alts
you - thumbing me on only 5 different accounts is not enough to hide my comments it seems
Also once again, you don't get the point. My point is THAT YOU COULDN'T SEE WHAT' WAS GOING ON.
The point you're trying to make is that I COULDN'T SEE WHAT WAS GOING ON.
See why you're dumb?
Gosh, it's like talking to a 5 year old. Get an education, basic text apprehension helps.
you suck ass, that's why you couldn't see what was going on
I could see what was going on just fine
+ you got 2GD and Zalmah that explain almost evrything that's going on
+ you got 4BF and Ylmeh that that explain almost evrything that's going on
right?
Why wouldn't WoW be an esport?
