ImageCologne, August 21th - SK Gaming today announced the cooperation with Bigfoot Networks.

Founded in 2006, Bigfoot Networks is a company dedicated to developing groundbreaking networking hardware and software solutions. Understanding the high requirements and standards of real-time network-based applications, Bigfoot Networks is designing technology to improve and also enhance the daily experience for gamers, both, on a professional or recreational level. As of today, Bigfoot Networks will become the official provider for network interface cards of SK Gaming, supplying players and teams with their revolutionary Killer NIC.

"We have learned over the years that any component in a PC can be crucial when it comes down to the perfect gaming experience. Bigfoot offers by far the best network interface cards out there, and our players are amazed by the boost for their hardware coming from it. Everybody at SK Gaming is looking forward to this long and successful cooperation with Bigfoot Networks.", says Alexander T. Mueller, Managing Director of SK Gaming.

“Bigfoot Networks is excited to partner with SK-Gaming and be a part of one of the most successful professional gaming teams in the world”, said Michael Howse, Bigfoot Networks president and CEO. "With their world-class gaming skills and the Killer Xeno Pro gaming network card from Bigfoot Networks, we know SK Gaming has the competitive edge they need to compete at such a high level.”

About the Killer™ Technology:

Killer™ Technology is what separates Killer from ordinary networking products. Designed specifically for gaming, Killer Technology is designed to accelerate your network processing the minute your game's data arrives at your computer. Killer Technology uses a custom chipset called the Network Processing Unit (NPU) to allow parts of the game to run inside the Killer NIC. The NPU acts as a co-processor dedicated to running the networking portion of games and other applications. Killer technology is completely Plug & Play, and works in all games. Killer literally bypasses the traditional Windows Networking Stack, enabling an entirely new game-optimized model of networking. This new networking model makes a dedicated, accelerated path for every gaming network packet, giving network traffic unprecedented speed and priority in your gaming PC. Games check the network for new data constantly - simple, but important checks ranging from "Is he shooting at me?" to "Is that door open or closed?" These checks are mixed with graphics and frames showing the result of the question (e.g. a closed or open door). Killer can answer these questions in just one CPU instruction. With Killer, your game has effectively separated graphics from networking. It can now dedicate more instructions to the other tasks - graphics and gameplay - that smooth your overall experience, especially during intense action.
