ImageAfter battling through the upper bracket by defeating the reigning champion Cypher in the winner bracket finals Rapha clashed with Spart1e in the grand finals in a gripping encounter.

The grand final was the only match to be played best of five and the climax of the dueling competition saw all five maps being played. It all started with a very close match on ca2 where Shane 'rapha' Hendrixson started out well, getting a stable lead. However, Sebastian 'Spart1e' Siira refused to give up and got the definitive frag at the end to take the map 4-5. The second map, dm6, would play out much the same as it went into overtime with Spart1e having the upper hand winning the map 8-9.

Rapha having lost two maps that he could just as well have won, went into the third game on Tourney4 with a huge weight on his shoulders. Once again the two players would prove to be equally matched as control of the map switched constantly. Just as soon as one player seized a frag, he would end up with so little health that the other one could snatch it back. The map ultimately ended 12-8 in favour of Rapha who managed to pull away at the end.

With one victory under his belt Rapha played almost flawlessly not giving Spart1e a chance to get into the match on the two remaining maps. Rapha won the two last maps with a good margin with 17-1 and 9-3 the final scores, to take home the first prize of $14,000.

The final standings:
1st Shane 'rapha' Hendrixson 14 000$
2nd Sebastian 'Spart1e' Siira 7500$
3rd Alexei 'Cypher' Yanushevsky 4000$
