The qualifier is open for a total of 64 teams in both Counter-Strike 1.6 and DotA which will first compete in an online qualifier and the four best teams are then invited to the offline finals. Teams can sign up until 31st of August and it is also not limited to only Romania, anyone is allowed to sign up for the tournament.

After the signup process, the 64 teams will play the online qualifier from September 1st to 23rd where the top four finishers are then advancing to the offline finals in October 2009. Only the winning team of the offline final will receive a direct invite to the DreamHack Winter 2009 Playoffs and will also get all the travel expenses as well as accommodation paid.
