World of Warcraft's fifth birthday is coming close, with this, Blizzard has already announced a couple of changes for the next patch in order to celebrate their birthday. One of the bigger updates for patch 3.2.2 will be a revamp of Onyxia's Lair. The patch will permanently turn Onyxia into a 10 and 25 player raid including some new gear but with classic models (such as the old Tier 2). This is in order to turn the raid dungeon into something more suited for the higher levels available since Wrath of the Lich King.
For the collectors, there will also be a new flying mount which will look just like Onyxia, called "Onyxia Broodling" which will have 310% flying speed.
For those of you not lucky enough to high-roll this pet, do not worry you will not leave empty handed. In order to celebrate WoW's birthday (which officially starts in November), Blizzard will offer you a friendly cuddly Onyxia Brood Whelpling as pet if you log in during their limited time birthday celebration event, as small taste of Onyxia's flaming breath.
Two birds with one stone. Updating older dungeons and raids not only means less thinking and screenplay for Blizzard, but this also prevents higher levels to solo and grind dungeons for easy gold. This will not only help to prevent gold farming but also perhaps the dungeon overflow happening on a few realms.

I miss those days, back in the 60's when u stood 40 persons just looking at a boss, didn't matter if it was Onyxia, Ragnaros or Nefarian. U always thought "Now we are going to down this piece of sh*t". And when u did, u could buy a cake and champagne for just that moment.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=spnsIiHhQc0 0:30. Those memorys aren't possible anymore. Raiding is way to easy. SK Gaming was doing that boss for 2 straight days with 15 mins break between every try what i've heard, still don't know if it's true but it must be an hell of a feeling doing that.
40 mans in vanilla were a complete joke in terms of player skill required, and in TBC most of the same too, except perhaps M'uru and KJ a bit.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zmQr_M9PFng&feature=fvw - This was alot harder than all of that and happened about a month ago :).
I'd lıke to add that Vashj and Kael'Thas were also really awesome and hard encounters that had the 'epıc' feelıng when you fınally beat ıt. :) Kael'Thas ıs stıll my favourıte encounter ın the game. (Btw, turkısh keyboard so expect spellıng mıstakes)
To me i loved vanilla 40-man raids and nothing is gonna be like that and i think they were the hardest. I liked TBC too, as u said Stekespade Vashj and KT were real hardcore and get both for the BT attunement (or was it Hyjal?) was a real pain in the ass.
In my meaning. WotLK sucked, TBC rocked and Vanilla was the best. Nothing can change to that, but if u Zara think that WotLK raids was better, u can think like that. And if Steke thinks that too i won't try to change it with my reasons.
Still, i don't like WotLK :D
Ony is somehow one of THE bosses from vanilla and everyone has memories from the first ony raids and in most cases the first t2 items. So why not bringing it back for some fun inbetween ?
And naxx...i think naxx was also a good idea, cause the instance itsself is great and only a few players saw it in vanilla. so why not showing it to more players? the balancing is a different story...
MOVE TO THE SIDES :((
if it will be of any use.. :)
