SK Gaming won Inferno Online League #1 after defeating lanklan in October last year, followed by former Giants claiming the title at Inferno Online League #2. The Finnish team Crack Clan, whose roster consists of the likes of Niko 'naSu' Kovanen and Tino 'tihOp' Puumala, won the third league after defeating Lemondogs on de_train and de_dust2 respectively. Another Swedish team Begrip, who was led by the old legend Mattias 'Snajdan' Andersen, won the last league after beating Gamecenter in the Grand Final.

The format for IOL FINAL 4 will be Single Elimination Best of Three 3 to add more pressure on the champions.
