According to a French website the ESWC brand has been bought by a French organisation who deal with hosting outdoor and indoor event activities.Team-aAa broke the news - which should still be classed as a rumour - just a few hours ago after they contacted Stéphane Cosse, the man behind the supposed purchase. Cosse did not deny their claims but said he would prefer to answer any questions in writing. Stéphane Cosse is the head of DIP Communication and DIP Organisation, a company that pulled the strings for the E-Games Festival in their hometown of Toulouse and whose comapny organise events among other things.
Team-aAa said in their newspost that the staff of Games Services - the company that hosted the ESWC before but who went into liquidation earlier year - will all find themselves a place in VALOSC, the name of the new sub-company that will deal with the ESWC brand. However, Mattieu Dallon the former CEO and Kingpin of the ESWC and Aurélien Rougemont will not be part of this new entity, as they have already found new jobs elsewhere.
Despite discovering this information Team-aAa said they have no idea what its economic structure will be or what its range of activities will include. Team-aAa did however unearth that Cosse is in talks with Milk, a famous cybernet cafe in France as well as FNAC - a huge chain in France - to host his events inside their stores. Team aAa hope to have more information straight from Cosse in the near future.
