The fight for the third grand final spot in the ESL-TV Quake Live Invitational tournament looked on paper to be a tough one, only to be dominated by Fox.We saw Magnus 'fox' Olsson come back from inactivity, Bogdan 'Bodzo' Mazur fight for his first big achievement, Jeffrey 'draven' Debipersad showing that he has improved since ESWC Masters Paris and Aaron-Anton 'Vizari' Jones saying he is a cat.
The first match was Draven against Bodzo, a match with Draven showing some great skill and proving that experience matters a lot. Winning 2-0 in maps he knocked Bodzo out of the tournament who was not able to use his superior aim to his advantage.
The second match was Fox versus Hell and after a slow ztn ending in favor of Fox the pace got higher. Fox went on to obliterate Hell on Tourney 7. During the match against Draven, Fox kept the pace up and after only five minutes of ztn he had already won the map. DM13 would be no different and Fox is suddenly looking to be the favorite to win the tournament.
If you missed the games a VOD will be put up over at ESL-TV.

The reality is that we as a community does not really have the luxury of thinking that Quake 3 or Quakeworld or Quake Live is the best game ever. Up until just a few months ago Quakeworld (Quake 1) was the most active quake community out there and no one, not even the Quakeworld community wants it to remain that way. As it is everyone will be supporting Quake Live cause this might be our last chance to have a deathmatch game with lots of players and lots of tournaments.
Most still do think that Quake 3 is vastly superior in many ways simply because it has a lot of features and bug fixes that Quake Live needs. But with improved weapon balance and everyone being sure that all the features and bug fixes we need/want coming we are all sure that Quake Live will become a superior game.
