Dennis "walle" Wallenberg reflects on SK's victory against WeMadeFox, expressing he enjoyed the change of scene on aztec, but would not like to see it return to competitive play.According to Dennis 'walle' Wallenberg it has been five or six years since he played a competitive match on aztec, explaining how the map is imbalanced primarily due to the T-side being impossible. However, SK still managed six rounds as Terrorists.

Doesnt both teams start as terrorits AND counter-terrorists?
SK wins with 11-4.
If fnatic wins the pistol round they have all the momentum and were on the losing side to begin with.
And imo, if a team, say SK, blames a loss on a imbalanced map, they don't really deserve to win either way, since they played both sides and had the imba part on their side.
These maps isnt really imba as maps can be imba in wc3.
This is where the individual skills kicks in, thats a part of CS aswell, remember?
If you have better players, you should be able to win, despite the map.
And regarding your example, I can recall bds to have a pretty good quote that can be connected to your example.
It was something like "a quiter never wins - a winner never quits".
It's not over until the fat lady sings!
PS. Wall of text, I apologise.
just because he dont want it back to competitive play dosent mean he didint enjoy playing something else once in a while
f.e.
Can't use B1 to watch water, since the doors would be left open, flashes can be thrown far & high so you can get the B1 guy flashed.
Can't really watch the water route from the CT hut since there's the T hut and the water below T hut where you can drop down the guy trying to watch the water route.
If you jump down to the water, just use 3 players to drop down the guy in the water.. Or all the guys there.
If you don't watch water effectively, you can flash B1, the bridge hut, the CT mid (basically everything) from the water.
The map requires what it should from both teams playing, it's also a really good map since it has a psychological side to it. It's really intensive mentally. Knives in the water to decide the starting sides. Win the knife round to gain momentum and great odds to win by starting CT, get the pistol round as the terrorists and tilt the favor.. Anyhow, both teams will see both sides. Altho, this map should never be the only map in a match. I'd see it as a interesting challenge in 2map mr12 or mr15 or a Bo3.
Nuke & Train are THE maps.
