ImageSix out of eight groups have been finished now and one major upset has happened with Crack Clan being knocked out of the tournament. Both Spanish teams advance from Group F.

The tournament is being played since the late morning with groups A and B as well as groups C and D being finished. Now the day has come to an end with groups E and F being played out causing the first surprise.

Group E

Actually the French team of Millenium was one of the favorites getting through but they tied twice and lost once which knocks them out of the tournament. seven on the other side have made a great comeback showing good matches throughout the whole groupstage and hopefully they can keep that up for the playoffs tomorrow. Also the newly formed team of TBH.eSports did quite good by losing in a really close match to seven and also tieing Millenium.

1. seven
2. TBH.eSports
3. Millenium (going home)
4. BUSSIFUORI (going home)

Group F

The first major upset of the tournament was caused here in the second and third match of Crack Clan losing to both Spanish teams. The Finns could've been one of the tournament favorites but seemed to struggle early on already losing a close match to Unibet and then being knocked out by ledpc . On a good side, the Spanish teams showed a good performance and have successfully made it to the playoffs starting tomorrow afternoon.

1. ledpc
2. Unibet
3. Crack Clan (going home)
4. dRu (going home)

The last two groups will be played tomorrow from 11.00 CET onwards followed by the Double Elimination bracket, check out our Gamegune 2009 coverage for all the information.
