In their first event with newly acquired Scott 'evolution' Cavallero, the Americans had no trouble in the double-elimination bracket play, beating a few lesser skilled teams in the early stages of the tournament.

Then, compLexity beat Back2Back (16-6) in the Upper Bracket Semi-Finals on de_inferno, (16-3) in the Upper Bracket Finals on de_train, and Gravitas Gaming US (16-10) in the Grand Finals on the same map.

Jason Lake's team has been living together in Charlotte, NC this summer and the move seems to have paid off so far with the squad capturing the $2,500 tournament in New York City, one week ahead of the ESEA-invite LAN finals in Dallas, TX. That tournament starts next weekend and is being hosted at Lethal Gamers.
