hoorai removes CS squad after poor EPS results

ImageThe German organization hoorai has decided to remove its Counter-Strike 1.6 squad after two disappointing EPS seasons.

The squad left pod.hama for hoorai in July last year after placing 4th in EPS EPS XII. However, the team did not manage to progress to the last two EPS LAN Finals.

Given the poor result and the financial climate, the organization decided to part ways with the team. Tobias "overkill" Steinmann, the general manager of hoorai, had this to tell HLTV.org:

"When we signed the CS-team one year ago, we were full of hope that they would qualify for the EPS finals again with our help. We thought we could give them the support they needed, like bootcamps for example, and they would become better. After one year and two seasons, maybe there's a little change in our mind and in time of financial crisis hoorai as a company has to think about investments and if it's reasonable to put that much money into a team like this."

The former hoorai roster:

Linus 'beist' Gubenis
Frans 'fRaNs' von der Aue
Witali 'nuY' Martin
Tobias 'Notorious' Torka
Johan 'rappy' von der Aue
Sebastian 'cypress' Schweegmann(Backup)
