mTw.Nightend: "I wish I was born in Germany"
Lazar "NightEnD" Silviu explains the reason for his breakthrough, reveals his training partners, speaks of the obstacles to Warcraft3 in Romania and of course the Blademaster.
Despite this stroke of bad luck however, his string of good results allowed him to join mTw on the same day they announced the departure of ESWC 2008 winner Du Seop 'WhO' Chang. "It feels great. We are a happy team," said NightEnd to Fragster on the subject of his new team.
The Romanian has been on the peripheral of the Warcraft3 scene for a while but came of age in the last few months, the German website asked why. "Well, in the past I only had problems," said Nightend. "When I reached Level 50 on ladder, like two and a half years ago, and I was in a good shape, I had to stop playing Warcraft for like six months."
"Then, after I started playing again, after some time I had to take a five or six months break again. Now I got like seven or eight months of activity or even a bit more. I never played much and that's why I probably had the breakthrough that late."
The Romanian's most noteworthy victory was against Manuel 'Grubby' Schenkhuizen, and was then asked if he considers himself underrated. "Well, I think no team gave me any credit to improve myself," said NightEnd, "[...] It is kind of hard to reach a top level when you are from a country that doesn't support your game at all and when you do not have even one good player to practice with."
NightEnd also reveals something which most players keep secret, and that is his training partners. "Well, I train with Leon, Eric, Hanf, Grubby, HoT, DeMusliM, ThomasG and so on," said NightEnd, "I try to play more and focus more on every aspect of the game."
"Seriously now, I would balance that BM somehow. Level One Critical Strike is OK, but at level two or three it is way too much damage especially combined with +15 or even +20 extra damage, it just becomes a joke."
In closing when asked if he thought he could have been one of the best players in the world if he lived elsewhere, the Romanian answered "Yes, I definitely think so. I wish I was born in Germany. [...] because you pay a lot of attention to your people and on your players, no matter which sport they do."

Silviu 'NightEnD' Lazar was the subject of controversy last month as Blizzard denied him participation in their European Regional Finals because he came from an "inelligible country", despite qualifying through the online ladder. When asked about the drama he replied: "What can I say? Blizzard didn't care at all! If you don't even care after a player played 600 games in two months and you give him only evasive answers you just can't do anything."Despite this stroke of bad luck however, his string of good results allowed him to join mTw on the same day they announced the departure of ESWC 2008 winner Du Seop 'WhO' Chang. Although one aspect of the game remains imbalanced, a certain Orc hero. "That Blademaster is imbalanced, no matter if you play Human, Elf or Undead – BM stays imbalanced. And I would change it by start playing Starcraft 2. (laughs)," said the Romanian."Seriously now, I would balance that BM somehow.
