As we informed you yesterday, WCG Sweden will consist of eight teams, with four direct invites and the other four remaining slots awarded to the winners of the qualifiers. The four invites are now known and no surprises to see the usual suspects SK Gaming , fnatic , Lemondogs and Begrip ru receiving the direct invites.

The other four slots will all be won on LAN as the top four finishers in a Bring-Your-Own-Computer tournament the day before the WCG Sweden Finals, will all progress to compete in the national finals. The BYOC has an impressive $4,500 cash purse with first place also receiving a wild card for DreamHack winter 2009.

WCG Sweden will only host national finals for five of the twelve WCG 2009 games, neglecting Starcraft: Brood Wars and FIFA09 and instead opting for; CS 1.6, Trackmania Nations Forever, Virtual Fighter 5, Warcraft 3 and Guitar Hero - World Tour. Both the Dreamhack Stockholm BYOC tournament and WCG Sweden Finals will be played between 13-14th August.
