Sweden, who places first in the group stage after defeating Netherlands 2:0 in Round Five, has directly advanced to the European Nations Cup 2009 LAN Finals from Group A.The defending champion Sweden came out on top from Group A after a 5:0 result. The top favourite, which comprises of the likes of Rasmus 'GuX' Stahl, Christopher 'GeT_RiGhT' Alesund as well as Patrik 'f0rest' Lindberg, only lost one map in the Main Round. Being the number one team in Group A, Sweden has advanced to the LAN Finals directly.
Meanwhile, Germany found themselves on the second place in Group A with three points behind, followed by Norway who got nine points after three wins. That is to say, both teams are going to play relegation match, facing the 3rd and 2nd team from Group B, respectively.
Elsewhere in Group B, since Finland was removed from this season, Poland has directly qualified for the Finals with four wins being the first team.
Unexpectedly for the Danes, after a 1:2 defeat to France, they found themselves in third place after four matches with only six points, a single point Score Difference while France, who has the same points after three matches, has a two point score difference.
France is going to play against Spain in the last Main Round. However, France will advance to the relegation match no matter the result because even if Spain wins, they still will have no score difference. This is the highest difference, which still places them in the fourth place. If France wins, they will face Norway, who currently places third in Group A of the relegation match.
