In Group A, Zhuo 'TeD' Zeng finished first in his group through round difference but his 2-0 defeat of team-mate Xiaofeng 'Sky' Li, coupled with Sky's loss to Mykhaylo 'HoT' Novopashyn means the two-times WCG winner is now out of the competition. Second place in Group A instead goes to Dae Hui 'FoV' Cho, racking up the necessary six points after he beat both TeD and HoT 2-0.

In group B June 'Lyn' Park was the major casualty after he failed to win any of his matches, finishing bottom of the group. However, his Orc brethren Manuel 'Grubby' Schenkhuizen ended up in pole position, becoming the only player in both groups to remain undefeated in the group stage, beating Lyn 2-0, plus Jae Ho 'Moon' Jang and Xuwen 'InFi' Wang 2-1. Moon who is still on his way back to his previous form took second place as he took wins against both infi and Lyn.

That means Grubby, Moon, TeD and FoV progress to the single elimination playoffs which are bo5, not bo3 like the group stage. Both of the first round matches of the playoffs will be played tomorrow afternoon, and it is important to note they will broadcast at 13:00 CET, two hours earlier than usual.
