SK just defeated TSG to win the American regional final in one of the fastest series' of the whole event.SK's unbeaten run continues as they won their second event in a row at the Blizzcon regionals. The team were all business as they took an early lead on Ring of Valor. Superb defensive play kept the cleave train of TSG from even leaving the station and instead SK Gaming USA were the agressors, forcing the opposition Paladin into an early bubble. But rather than train him after that, SK's dps switched onto the deathknight of TSG and took him down in a flash.
On Nagrand, TSG went on the back of Mark 'Pookz' Rendon and forced an incredibly early iceblock. Although he was able to live through hypothermia it wasn't long until he was forced into a second and SK were unable to put pressure back onto TSG. Pookz was down fast from there and the game was tied at 1-1.
Nagrand came up again for the third game but it was nothing like the first. The paladin from TSG went down in "blink and you'll miss it" fashion. The fourth game proved to be the final one and was almost a carbon copy of the third. SK went super aggressive onto the paladin and would've killed him just as quickly if it hadn't been for a resist on mass dispel. Joe 'Enforcer' Morrone almost paid for their aggression but Realz did a good job of topping him up for a second assault on the paladin. With no bubble to fall back on this time SK were able to seal the deal and pick up a 3-1 victory.
A second tournament victory in a month now surely puts SK as the undoubted best team in America. The win over TSG made it ten victories back-to-back and equally impressively, SK dropped just three maps in four games at this tournament. If they can maintain that kind of form going into the grand finals, we could see an American Blizzcon champion in 2009.
