Five SK Gaming racers are qualified for the upcoming semi-finals in the ESL RACE07 Pre-Season. Three of them dominated the leaderboard, which closed just a few seconds ago.One month ago the Electronic Sports League revealed their new motorsport portal on ESL Sports. Live for Speed kicked off their pre-season quite early and will finalise it tonight, whereas RACE 07 pilots can finally start their engines for the upcoming semi-final.
During the past ten days a lot more than one hundred players singed up for the ESL Sports RACE 07 Pre-Season. All of them had to set a legal laptime in Brands Hatch with a WTCC 2007 or 2006 car of their own choice.
Danny 'HuskY' Engels, Hendrik 'b0nd' von Eye and Christoph 'DreaF' Hörenbaum set the pace with staggering lap times. They were some of the few that managed to break the 1.32 lap time barrier. Marc 'Toretto' Schreiber did his way into the semi-final without any pressure. The main aim was to qualify himself for the next round and he reached his Top50 spot without much effort. And also our Need for Speed legend Niklas 'Sliver' Timmermann proved that arcade players can be fast in simulations as well. He perfects the overall result for SK Gaming Racing.
For the upcoming semi-final in Brno at 9 July 2009, all fifty qualified racers will be splitted into two groups. Players with odd ranks will face each other as well as players with even ranks. Both groups will compete in an entire raceday including qualifying session and two races. The best twelve finishers out of the respective racedays will proceed to the grand final in Curitiba at 23 July 2009.

The Top50 are in that is ok.
There were people who drove nearly 900 laps! 900 laps x 95 seconds/lap = close to 24h pure racing! That is crazy!
