Garena and PPLive co-operated to announce the fourth season of Race War series to be held in mid-July as Team Orc looking to extend their domination.
The invitational online competition will take place between 12-19 July with $6,300 available in total prize purse. In addition to live video provided by PPLive, Garena TV will also provide in-game stream for certain matches.
Identical to previous season, the organisers will invite 16 world class players to represent their respective races. Participant list will be unveiled in days to come. Players who play the same race will battle for the privilege of ace of their race in the first two days, while each race will play a match against the other three races on King of Fighters basis in the following days to decide the winner.
Team Orc, composed of Weiliang 'Fly100%' Lu, Manuel 'GrubbY' Schenkhuizen, June 'Lyn' Park and Liwei 'xiaOt' Sun, seized the crown from Team Night elf in impressive fashion last April with three wins out of three matches, whereas the defending champion could only sit at the bottom failing to register a single win. Netherlands international Grubby was the Most Valuable Player Award winner thanks to his undefeated run in the competition.
