Most of favourites in the group stage of International Esports Festival 2009 China Finals advanced to the quarterfinals, but the same could not be said to last year’s Global Final runner-up Xiaofeng 'Sky' Li.The group draw yesterday placed Xiaofeng 'Sky' Li in Group B together with Mousesports’ in form Xiang 'TH000' Huang, in addition to two of his team-mates in World Elite, Xiang 'Panxiang' Pan and Hao 'suhO' Su. Despite a first round win over their academy player Panxiang, Sky failed to get the better of Night elf duo suhO and TH000 in the following games.
After ESWC Asia Masters of Cheonan and GomTV World Invitational, it is the third time in the space of two months that the two-time World Cyber Games winner fell flat in the group stage.
In his recent blog entry, Sky expressed his frustration of his inability to act according to specific circumstances as he could all but think of planned strategy throughout a game. The national final for this year’s World Cyber Games is looming. Should him not recover from recent downturn, his dream of winning his third WCG title on home soil could be in danger.
In the meantime, TH000’s team-mate Weiliang 'Fly100%' Lu advanced from Group A alongside group winner Nan 'ForDream' Xie, another World Elite academy player Wenrui 'Kenshin' Zeng and Lin 'Wulin' Wu overcame Haoyang 'Goblin' Jin in the tiebreaker in Group C to advance, while World Elite duo Xuwen 'InFi' Wang and Zhuo 'TeD' Zeng did not face much challenge in their advance from Group D.
Quarterfinals will get underway soon, but likely with concern to poor internet connection on the scene, there will be no live stream covering the event.

I think you meant fly?
TH lost to SuhO on TM too.
the thing is elf can choose from 10 different strategies while human has to wait and see whats gonna come and then play 2x better and have a lot of luck and still its probably not enough to win.
Ah wait, tower tanks solves, awesome skills involved. Humans really need to work hard as soon as their expo is up.
and for the swedish fag , thoo even said himself this matchup is not balanced and elf has huge adventage which is why he uses it against human (also he's trying to push other humans to wait counters in this mu but there just isnt). same goes for infi. sky dosnt do this yet, cuz hes popularity etc dosnt allow him to ~ he needs to strive and think like "no imbalance i just need to train harder!". Talking with some newbish elfs (who probably dont even play the game regularly) here isnt my cup of tea so yeah fuck off.
