Live for Speed started their Pre-Season last Monday and since midnight, racers in RACE07 and rFactor are able to put down their qualifying lap times to the leaderboards. The Electronic Sports League created their own motorsport portal just a few weeks ago, but all leagues are already filled with many drivers as well as big names out of the Sim-Racing community. And today, it is about time that RACE 07 and rFactor players can finally qualify themselves for ESL upcoming pre-seasons with 250 € prize money for every cup.
Qualifying in both games will be from 19th June to 29th June and lasts a bit less compared to Live for Speed. In rFactor, all pilots have to set a legal lap time in Melbourne with a Formula One car. Top 40 out of the qualifying ranking will face each other in a semi-finals knockout race in Sepang. The remaining 20 will reach the grand finals in Hockenheim, where the pre-season champion is going be crowned in only one single race.
In RACE07, lap times have to be done in Brands Hatch with WTCC 2007 or 2006 cars. The tournament system is almost the same as the rFactor one. Instead of 40 drivers, the fastest 50 out of the leaderboard will face each others on the circuit of Brno. And the best 24 remaining RACE07 players will reach the final race in Curitiba and fight for 250€ prize money in two short races.
