SK serve Aquintas a beating, Millenium next

ImageThe top favourite, SK-Gaming, advances to the Quarter Finals without too much trouble while DTS.chatrix, who just won ASUS Spring 2009, was ruled out of the tournament.



Aside from their responsibilites at the Steelseries booth, SK Gaming are two steps away from victory at the Dreamhack Summer tournament. Their next opponent Millenium were the winners of Dreamhack Paris, and SK Gaming already won the previous encounter between the two teams in the groupstage with a 16-11 victory on de_nuke.

SK Gaming defeated Aquitas, the team which consists of the likes of Emil 'striker' Westerberg and Christian 'floreNz' Shanahan to earn their place in the semi-final. The two games were comfortable for SK with 16-6 and 16-5 the final results.

Robert 'RobbaN' Dahlström took the first map by force finishing the match with a total kill/death ratio of 30-12 on de_train. Meanwhile Kristoffer 'Tentpole' Nordlund was the lead-fragger in the second match clinching the semi-final place with a kill/death ratio of 27-7 on de_inferno.

Millenium had a intense encounter with Ukranian DTS -last minute to replace Prostaker - the ASUS Spring Champions in their quarter-final match. The French took an early lead with a 16-12 on de_train.

Inferno proved favourable for the Ukranians as they sealed the deal with a 16-11 scoreline, forcing the final map. However, the third map was not as close the previous two, as Millenium finished the match off with a 16-7 on de_nuke, eliminating DTS from the tournament.
