Major League Gaming have uploaded the best of the Halo 3 action from MLG Columbus 2009 last weekend, featuring the usual surprises and smack-talk.Major League Gaming events have always been unpredictable as they unfold, and MLG Columbus exemplified this once again. Team performances were very inconsistent in comparison to their seed as Str8 Rippin tore up the competition.
Major League Gaming have today uploaded the full rebroadcasts for the viewing pleasure of the public. Included in these is Sunday's Championship Match, where Halo 3 event champions Str8 Rippin dominated their opponents Triggers Down in a 6-1 series. This included a final Team Slayer game on Narrows where Str8 steamrolled through the Triggers Down side, trapping them in their spawn for the majority of the game. This kind of play truly signalled Str8's return to the top after a "disappointing" third place last event as they walked away a sweet $20,000 richer.
The rebroadcasts feature not only stream coverage of the matches as they happened, but also highlights and wrap-ups of each day as well as an interview with Str8 Rippin's captain, Tsquared.

Arguably the best gun in the game is the Battle Rifle, which in MLG rules everyone spawns with. Many gametypes also don't feature power weapons, just the Battle Rifle and thus require raw teamwork so the best team will come out on top.
even if they competed in a MLG event such as the one in dallas coming up in august SK would have to fight themselves through the amateur bracket into the pros losers bracket and then from the losers bracket into the championship match which is rather unlikely to happen =)
INSTINCT FOR DALLAS CHAMPIONS GOGO!
regardless ive never seen any bungie.net stats for a scrim or matchmaking game of eu-teams vs us-teams, so i guess im not in the position to judge eu-teams skillwise sry for that btw ^_^"
the point im making is that in my opinion the top us-teams like str8, tD or FB just play on such a high level that few can compete with them and i guess thats quite undenieable =)
just to set things straight ^^
It'd be good to see some EU people go though with a different playstyle to what MLG people are used to, just to see how they fare. Apologies for needing the correction as well!
Columbus was a great event and I was really happy to see Str8 win but Instinct where my favourite team going in and didnt perform at all unfortunately
PC / HALO1 > Halo 3
I remember the amazing 4v4 from TDT team ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cyudS87cVg0 )
I remember T2 playing 2v2 on Hang Hem High
I remember CTF Blood Glutch on XBC with 200 ms
Halo 1 was great, skilled game.
This proves even more Halo is an esport!
(Mlg's stream+vods quality its just great)
