The Blood Run special tournament was started with two games between Chance 'Chance' Lacina and Gaven 'whaz' Sorensen on Blood Run. Two games that Chance won with a comfortable score. Next player to enter the tournament and try to become king of the hill was Shane 'rapha' Hendrixson.

After a close win against Chance he continued the tournament undefeated, beating well known duelers such as dkt and walter. Next big event for Rapha is Quakecon 2009 in august.

Rapha himself enjoyed playing Blood Run again, praising it as a great map. But he also had some criticism towards the map: "It's good to be playing ztn again, the map was and always will be great. The only thing I have against it is I don't like how it plays with the QLive spawn system, just like other maps it can seem very unfair at times. Other than that, the map still feels great"
