Ciara on Danish ENC victory: "I hate losing 1v1"
René "Ciara" Krag talks of the Danish victory against the defending champions Germany, in the ENC.
"Well first off, facing Germany is no easy task," said Ciara," they have a huge line up, so it's hard to predict what we were going up against." Germany are without Daniel 'ixi' Spenst for this season of the ENC, but still have six players in their roster.
The ENC has adopted the Davis Cup system for this season, the same system that was used in the WC3L SeasoN XV, which reduces the minimum number of players required in order to participate in a match. "I think this new system greatly improves our chances to win," said Ciara.
"We've always had a strong teamspirit and big lineup, but most players in the team have school or work fulltime which makes it hard for them to practice. So they always had the potential to lose if faced with a opponent strong."
Thomas 'ThomasG' Glinski picked up two points for Denmark defeating Tim 'HLA' Gebel and Marc 'yAwS' Förster, but Ciara lost to Yaws but defeated HLA to collect the three points for Denmark. However, Ciara is not satisfied with the result, " I'm not too destroyed over losing the 2v2, but I hate losing 1v1 especially when it isn't only my ass on the line," said Ciara "I should have prepared better and won't make the same mistakes again hopefully."
The entire interview which focuses exclusively on the ENC match between Denmark and Germany is available on the TEAM EG website.
