Lyn qualifies for ESWC Open Game in 1st place
June "Lyn" Park has qualified himself for the ESWC Open Game tournament to be held in China with a win over former team-mate Sung Sik "ReMinD" Kim in the South Korean Preliminaries.

June "Lyn" Park has qualified himself for the ESWC Open Game tournament to be held in China with a win over former team-mate Sung Sik "ReMinD" Kim in the South Korean Preliminaries.After a convincing start in the second group stage with consecutive defeats of Hyo Sub 'FoCuS' Eom and Sung Sik 'ReminD' Kim, June 'Lyn' Park lost to Jong Seok 'ReprisaL' Lee as the fellow Korean tower-rushed him in the 3rd game on Terenas Stand to take the series that sprang hope for the young Korean Human player.
The SK Gaming player finished nevertheless first in his group thanks to superior map difference despite being tied with ReMinD and ReprisaL, with former team-mate following at the second place after a 2-0 win over ReprisaL in the tie-breaker. Due to the unconventional nature of the rules, Lyn had to battle SocceR in the semi-finals, who finished ahead of Jae Ho 'Moon' Jang in the other group.
With Lyn defeating SocceR and ReMinD flexing his skills in Night Elf mirror, the two former team-mates were forced to play each other for the third time in the last week. Lyn defeated ReMinD 2-0 in the group stage, and finished him off with the same scoreline in the upper bracket final to take one of only two auto-qualification places.
ReMinD will play the winner of SocceR/Moon for the last spot, with the overall final of the bracket not to be played.
