Cologne/Stockholm, May 5th, 2009 – The international eSports clan SK Gaming proudly welcomes one of the leading PC and notebook vendors as new main sponsor: Acer.SK Gaming once again breaks new ground as Acer joins the clans ranks as sponsor and thereby celebrates its premiere in esports sponsoring. Both parties agreed to a long term sponsorship within which Acer will support the SK team financially as well as with hardware such as notebooks and desktops.

This sentance is laughable, but sure, whatever. :))
You are lucky, not in the sense that Acer computers have more problems then any other big manufacturer out there, but IF you would have had problems, then you would have to turn to Acer warranty, and that is a different story.
There are good waranty services, there are bad warranty services, and then there is Acer's. This experience may be different in other countries, so shouldnt rant to much.

You are right, its not always about what's inside, its about what's around your computer, the support and service is very important to alot of people, maybe not you and me, but the vast majority.
And dont get me wrong, I am glad Acer choose to sponsor SK amongst others.
