For over two years the owner of Cautious has attempted to level his character from 0 to 80 without a single death. Everytime the character died he would delete the character and start from scratch.

Over two years ago Cautious had successfully reached lvl 46 before dying, now only a few days ago Cautious reached level 80, and with only consuming 19 potions.

"I typically work alone, which also means I avoid most of the instances. I also avoid most caves and similar places where I don't have an easy escape route," said Cautious in a post on Thottbot.



Despite the armoury now stating the character had one death it has been confirmed by WoW.com that it occured after level 80 due to his Nitro Boost failing.

On the Blizzard forums once user commented "Try a PvP server for a real sense of accomplishment," to which Cautious replied "although it would be technically possible to do this on a PVP server I think it would be utterly insane. On a PVE server you at least have control over the level of danger you are exposed to."

"The only way I could imagine doing it would be to spend years slowly leveling via the occasional seasonal quests that take place in Goldshire and the like. Even having a team of level 80s escorting you everywhere wouldn't protect you from someone on a suicide mission. "

There is no achievement for successfully reaching level 80 without a single death, and it is also uncertain if he is infact the first and only individual to achieve it. However, after more than two years of hard work, he can call it a job well done.
