100%-Motorsport seems to be the new slogan when the Electronic Sports League finally herald a new era for Racing. With three simulation racing games (Live for Speed, RACE07 and rFactor), it is all about realism in the new ESL Sports motorsport section. Furthermore it is certain that 5000€ Prizemoney in addition to non-cash prizes and real trophies are given out to the best virtual racers.

But before the Championships are going to start in the end of Summer 2009, where further information will be revealed as well, ESL Sports will organize an Opening- or Pre-Season Cup for every mentioned game. The first Pre-Season Cup already starts the day after tomorrow in Live for Speed, followed by Opening Cups in RACE07 and rFactor beginning 19th June. All in all virtual racers have the chance to win 750€ in total.

Every cup starts with a Pre-Qualifying where drivers have to prove themselves for the first time and are fighting for a certain amount of starting slots in time-attack or hotlapping mode. Live for Speed hotlapping starts on 1st of June and will take two weeks. Qualifying tracks and cars will be the FZ50 GTR in Aston National as well as the FOX in South City Town.

RACE07 and rFactor Pre-Qualifying will be from 19th June to 29th June and lasts a bit less compared to Live for Speed. Qualifying for RACE07 will be in Brands Hatch with WTCC cars. For rFactor in Melbourne with Formula One cars.
