Under fire Xiaofeng 'Sky' Li recovered from recent downturn as he defeated latest PGL champion Weiliang 'Fly100%' Lu to win the PGL Championship Challenge. The 23-year-old dipped in form when it came to May as he not only crashed out of ESWC Asia Masters of Cheonan in group stage without a single win, lost six games out of seven in NGL, but he also became the instant culprit for the elimination of the WC3L defending champions by virtue of his defeats to Weiliang 'Fly100%' Lu and Xiang 'TH000' Huang in his team’s clash with Mousesports.
Once hailed as the eSports figure in China, Xiaofeng 'Sky' Li was suggested by many in his homeland to call it quits, but the two-time World Cyber Games winner hit his top form when it matters most in PGL Championship Challenge.
After losing to Human maverick TH000 twice in the space of two weeks, Sky fought back with a 2-0 win in their upper bracket semi-final meeting, followed by a 2-1 defeat of another Mousesports’ player Fly100% in the upper bracket final.
The overall final kicked off between the two finalists last season. While previous final was a prolonged series with both sides winning a set one after the other that ended in Fly100%’s favour, the Chinese Orc player could only watch his counterpart scoring through his trademark tower rush without any answer.
The total prize for this competition is approximately €1,000, but ESL did not reveal the exact breakdown of the prize money.
Final standing
1. Xiaofeng 'Sky' Li
2. Weiliang 'Fly100%' Lu
3. Xiang 'TH000' Huang
4. Hyeong Ju 'Check' Lee

Very nice,gj Sky
Grubby:
1. Losses to 3year inactive player
2. Lost 3-0 group stage ESWC
3. Can't win a single tournament for this entire year
Maybe Grubby needs to quit, he keeps humiliating himself nonstop. How do you lose to an inactive player, who hasnt' played wc3 for almost 3 years, while Rotterdam beats him? Grubby is an embarrassment to not only wc3 scene but also e-sport..
OT: Gz til sky
Fly never came close to stopping either of them.
better luck next time Fly!
