The GOMTV World Invitational 2009 will include two players of each race, with all players "past world tournament winners" according to GomTV's official post.

June 'Lyn' Park and Manuel 'GrubbY' Schenkhuizen were the Orcish representatives who received an invite, with their Human rivals both coming from China, namely Xiaofeng 'Sky' Li and Xuwen 'InFi' Wang.

For the Undead Scourge Zhuo 'TeD' Zeng and Dae Hui 'FoV' Cho were chosen, two extremely strong players on LAN. Meanwhile, For Night Elf no surprise to see Jae Ho 'Moon' Jang on the list, but he will be joined by clanless Mykhaylo 'HoT' Novopashyn, which will most likely be well received by Warcraft3 fans.

Further good news is to follow and that is that the rumour that Yoan 'ToD' Merlo and Kevin 'RotterdaM' van der Kooi were to cast the tournament, proved to be true. Rotterdam the NGL ONE in December, meanwhile ToD solo-cast the iEF tournament in 2008, but the pair have yet to cast together, but will do so for the first time on June 4th when the tournament begins.
