The votes cast in the eStars 2009 poll have been made public and the results see Germany and France casting almost 50% of the votes.According to eStars the 2008 poll only received 280,000 votes compared to the 1,503,179 votes cast this time, an increase of almost six fold. Germany had 31.2% of the total votes this year with 468,453 votes, followed by France with 27.5% (413,244 votes), while China only managed to scrape together 11.2% (167,654 votes).
Also surprising is the fact that Korea and Sweden, two important centres for eSports only managed to count for 1.6% of the votes combined. Likewise the USA only constituted 4.3% of total votes.
The public vote counts for 50% with player achievements counting for 20% of the votes and the other 30% from the eStars Committee. Despite shouts of foul play, with the three German Warcraft3 players which included relatively unknown Leon 'TastyLeon' Hoge of mTw managing to beat the likes of Manuel 'Grubby' Schenkhuizen, Pedro 'LucifroN' Moreno Durán and Dmitriy 'Happy' Kostin, there has been no comment made by eStars.
The final results will be announced on the 2nd June when the achievements of each team or player has been analysed and the Committee cast their votes.

Next time, if they try a better control on the votes, and make it count for just a 30% or something like that... they will see the difference =)
:)
@darwin a lot of other things play in as well obviously. How many are actually interested in esports within the country, for example.
So to sum this all up. Saying that Germans should go because they have a more organized life has to be a joke. To say that the votes are weird because of "the germans" is also to a pretty big extent wrong, although we can assume it was some germans cheating here. We can also safely say that these polls simply doesn't do the trick.
2. France - 27.5% (413,244 votes)
yeaa sure , the most cheated country in this vote
Well, Korea seems to have a big market of esports and they actually do. But the fact is that its only for 'StarCraft'.
Other games like Counter-Strike or WarCraft which is popular through out the world, actually doesn't have a big league in Korea. Korea isn't really important country of esports. It's only about Starcraft or other shitty games.
Thats why the top Korean Warcraft players are in other countries gaming team.
Then why Moon and a counter-strike team in WeMadeFox? Well, WeMadeFox doesn't really care about Warcraft or Counter-strike. They just want to sell their name in the world. Its more like an ad. for them.
Votes should be 0% imo
