MLG is getting closer by the hour and today the league released further information, including rules, for the 2009 season.Major League Gaming has released another batch of information about its 2009 season. The first even, MLG Columbus starts on June 5 and will be invite-only. But it is the rule list which makes the most interesting reading. Much-loathed maps Dalaran and Ring of Valor will be included in the pool.
After the last major World of Warcraft tournament (Extreme Masters), the addition of an 'overtime' rule may prove to be important. If the 20 minute time limit is reached and "at least one Character has died, and neither Team has a living Character advantage greater than 1, the Game will continue in a 5 minute overtime period."
In other words, a 1v1 or 2v2 that goes on for 20 minutes will incur a further five minute of play. If there is still no winner, the game is tied.
The gear list is unexceptional and includes Tier 7.5 and Deadly gear (allowing mages their precious set bonus). The weapons allowed have not been confirmed but with the game being played on the latest patch, it seems safe to assume at least Furious tier one.
The tournament's format is a little bit different to most other events, however. Eight teams will play against each other in a round robin system. The top four teams will then go into bracket play. Teams placed 5-8 will be eliminated.

I like it!:D
nice
Why do you write 1v1 or 2v2? Doesn't this apply to everything except 3v1 and 3v3?
